Announcing the 3rd Annual Leadership in School Nutrition Award Winners: Nutrition Explorations

This is the official kick-off of the 4th Annual Leadership in School Nutrition (LISN) Award, sponsored by National Dairy Council® (NDC) and Dairy Field Magazine. The award recognizes and encourages positive partnerships between dairy processors and schools to provide students with better nutrition through milk programming innovations, using kid-appealing plastic packaging. These improvements lead to increased milk consumption and meal participation.

The Winning Partnership: First Prize $5,000

Your district and processor could win the first prize of $5,000 each, or 1st or 2nd runner up prizes of $2,000 or $1,000, each, respectively. Get inspired by reading about the successful programs implemented by last year's LISN Award Winners .

Nominate Your Dairy Processor

Nominations will be accepted from August 1 to November 3, 2008. Districts may nominate their processor or processors may nominate their own school district partnerships. The winners will be announced during School Nutrition Association's (SNA) Child Nutrition and Industry Conference, January 18-20, 2009, in New Orleans, La.
