Kids Love Cold Milk!
Temperature is a key component of the taste and appeal of milk for everyone, but especially for kids. Keeping milk at the proper temperature also ensures its freshness, so National Dairy Council and your local Dairy Council have developed some tools to help you Strive for 35°.
Step 1: Complete the Milk Temperature Survey
You may have received the Milk Temperature Kit materials from your local Dairy Council. If not, download the Milk Temperature Survey and the Cold Milk Fact Sheet and use these tools to evaluate the temperature of milk in your school. Follow the procedures on the survey to test both your milk and cooler temperatures. If the temperatures are above 40 degrees, review the suggestions on the survey and fact sheet, make corrections and retest the milk.
Step 2: Enter Your Milk Temperature Survey Results Online
The national drawing for entering the results of your Milk Temperature Survey is over. However you may have received information from your local Dairy Council® requesting that you enter your survey results online. If you did, when you have completed the Milk Temperature Survey, click here to record your results online.
