Strawberry–Yogurt Shortcake

Strawberry yogurt adds a boost of nutrition and flavor to this summer favorite. Serve it for a snack, as well as a quick dessert. It's that easy!

2 8–ounce containers low-fat, Swiss-style strawberry yogurt
4 cups (1 quart) fresh strawberries, quartered
6 shortcake shells

Parent and Child: Wash hands.

Child: Wash and remove stems from strawberries. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Parent and Child: Cut strawberries into quarters (large berries into eighths). Place in a large bowl.

Child: Add yogurt to berries. Toss gently until the berries are coated.

Parent and Child: Place shortcake shells in individual dessert bowls. Spoon strawberries over each shell, dividing evenly between the shells.
